over ten years of embarassing over-enthusiasm!

hello, and welcome to copacetic!

copacetic began in the spring of 1996 as a print zine, and ceased print publication in 2000 since i found it easier (and cheaper!) to just do the online version. but really, i miss being a print zine, and often think about breaking out the long-arm stapler again someday. the nicest compliment the zine ever got was from josh (formerly of the band holiday) who, without even knowing of my love for her, called it "audrey hepburn-esque."

copacetic is my one-girl project, along with its sister site, copacetique, the cutest online boutique featuring handmade goods and original artwork from independent artists (including myself!), gifts from japan, and other super adorable products.

i also work at kexp in the programming department, making sure we play plenty of indie-pop, and at fantagraphics, selling you the finest in graphic novels and comics. i like kittens, thrift shopping, watching tv, and cookies.

what does "copacetic" mean?
co·pa·cet·ic: adj [old slang] good, excellent, fine, etc. --- Webster's New World College Dictionary

can i submit a cd for review?
yes, but we are very particular about what we review.

where did you get the hypercolor paper you used in copacetic issue one?
I bought that paper at an Office Depot in Texas back in 1996, and I haven't seen it since. Sorry.
