review: A lot of time has passed since this show occured, but I do remember that it was absolutely beautiful. The club was packed and everyone was so enthusiastic and appreciative of their music. Sally seemed almost overwhelmed! She looked super-cute in a $10 thrift store dress and $100 Costume National high-heeled shoes. (Yes, Sally told the audience this, and of course, I committed it to memory!) They performed tons of songs from Rabbit Songs and a few from their latest EP. They also performed "Beautiful Sea", which isn't available on CD yet, and if it were possible to wear out an MP3 I would've already done so on that one! The only (only) bad thing that I noticed was songwriter Dan Messe...well, he's not a vocalist, but he mouths along to the lyrics, which is understandable since he wrote them and they must mean the world to him and all...but...well, sometimes it can be comical and a little distracting. He gets really dramatic about it, throwing his head back as he lip-syncs along even...sorry, Dan! But all in all, another wonderful show from this wonderful band! :)
